Body shaming is something that unfortunately happens to a lot of people, especially women. Society has a way of telling us that we have to look a certain way in order to be considered beautiful or attractive. This is not only untrue, but it’s also damaging to our self-esteem and our overall mental health. That’s why it’s so important to practice body positivity.

Body positivity is the belief that you are worthy of love and respect, no matter what your body looks like. It’s about accepting and loving yourself for who you are, and recognizing that your worth as a human being is not dictated by your dress size or your BMI. Everyone deserves to love and accept themselves, no matter how they look on the outside.

Here are three reasons why you should love your body no matter what:

1. Your body is the only one you’ve got.

You only get one body in this lifetime, so you might as well take care of it and treat it with respect. Your body does a lot for you; it houses your soul and allows you to experience all the wonderful things life has to offer. So show it some love!

2. Your worth is not determined by your dress size.

You are not defined by the number on the tag of your clothing. You are so much more than that! Your value as a human being does not decrease simply because you don’t fit into society’s narrow definition of beauty. Remember that the next time someone tries to make you feel bad about your appearance.

3. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

No two people look exactly alike, and that’s what makes us each special and unique. Embrace your differences and know that you are beautiful just the way you are. Screw what anyone else says! 

If they can’t see how amazing you are, then that’s their loss. 😉

So love yourself, respect yourself, and most importantly, be proud of who you are—flaws and all!
